The GM 8 shaped silicone snorkel keeper is a simple, durable, and highly flexible accessory used to secure a snorkel tube to a diving mask strap. It consists of two rings joined in the middle, resembling the number 8, and is used as a more resilient alternative to rigid plastic clips that are prone to breaking.

The flexible nature of silicone allows it to stretch over snorkels of almost any shape (round or oval) and size. Unlike plastic, high-quality silicone is corrosion-resistant and “unbreakable” under normal water pressure. Because it is soft and hypoallergenic, it reduces tension at the mask strap and doesn’t press hard against the diver’s head. It is a staple in “Save a Dive” kits, especially for discontinued or older snorkel models where replacement clips are no longer available.
